چکیده

• Comparison of different latent heat thermal energy storage systems with pipes. Assessment replacing a transfer fluid piping system by Heat pipes provided uniform melting process. The phase change material took control over the pipe operation cycle. This paper experimentally evaluates implementation in systems. well-known performance as technology makes them great candidates to be used exchangers. However, previous studies compared their efficacy against solid metal rods, where clearly succeeded. Therefore, objective this study is evaluate advantages using instead common shell and tubes system, during charging processes. In particular, five were tested. One based on tubes, remaining four experiments conducted at constant temperature flow rate, results analysed from temperature, transfer, visual point view. show that melts homogeneously through all container. tank performed process 25 min while fastest one 40 for it. On other hand, configuration melt inlet towards outlet. Moreover, more surface inside collector higher power rates. Comparing best worst tanks first 30 min, rate increased 40%. But storing low conductivity cushioned those high

Thermal Analysis of Shell-and-Tube Thermoacoustic Heat Exchangers

Heat exchangers are of key importance in overall performance and commercialization of thermoacoustic devices. The main goal in designing efficient thermoacoustic heat exchangers (TAHXs) is the achievement of the required heat transfer rate in conjunction with low acoustic energy dissipation. A numerical investigation is performed to examine the effects of geometry on both the viscous and therma...
